The purpose of this page is to provide a brief explanation on how to navigate this site, and use of the varies tools provided on this site.

Navigation

The site is broken into 6 major categories which can be accessed from the left menu bar.

Each category is broken into section (except for online education). Each section can be accessed by clicking on the purple links that can be found about third down the page (They are just below the second purple bar)

Common Problems
Older browser such as Internet Explorer 3 or Netscape 3 will not be able to display the sections of each category, in this case the top third of the page will load up to and including the section links.

If you disable javascript the section will not appear either even if you are not using a older browser, in which case you would have to turn on Javascript.
In Netscape click on Edit - Preferences... - Advanced - Enable JavaScript
In Internet Explorer click on

Journal Club

The journal club is accessed from the menu by clicking on the Journal Club label.

The journal club is split into four sections.
Outcome Variations
Utilitzation Review
Economic Analysis
Practice Guidelines

Reading A Journal
Click on the appropriate section and select one of the journals that have been posted to this particular section of the journal club.

Adding A Comment
At the bottom of every journal review is a link 'Add You Comment' to add comments related to this review.

Adding A Journal
1 - Click on the appropriate section and click on 'Add a new review', this will bring up a new window
2 - Fill out all the required field. Make sure that you provide a password so that you can edit the journal at a future date.
3 - Click on 'Post' to make the journal avaible for other people to view
4 - or Click on 'Save' to save the journal for future editing.

Edit a Posted Journal
1 - View the journal
2 - Click on 'This review may be editited', This will prompt you for a password
3 - Enter a password, click on edit
4 - Edit the journal

Edit a Saved Journal
1 - Click on 'Edit a review', you do not have to be in the right section
2 - Located the journal you wish to edit
3 - Enter a password, click on edit
4 - Edit the journal

Delete A Journal
1 - Click on 'Edit a review', you do not have to be in the right section
2 - Located the journal you wish to edit
3 - Enter a password, click on delete (NOTE: There is no undelete)

Discussion Forums

There are three discussion forums, Administration, Journal Review and General

Reading
1-Select the appropriate section and click on a message title that interests you.

Adding a new message
1-Select the appropriate section
2-Click on the 'Add Comment' link
3-Fill out the form and save it. If a password is provided message can be edited at a future date

Modifying a message
Provided you have the password, you can either edit or delete the entry.
1-View the message you want to modify, by clicking on the appropriate section and message
2-From the message window click on the edit link
